As part of our monthly activities to sensitize secondary school students about sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), TIP’s team visited Rokem International School in Alapere, Ketu, Lagos state.
Eniola Tikare delivered an enlightening session. She emphasized the critical aspects such as the significance of consent, fostering healthy relationships, and setting personal boundaries. In addition, the students were guided on identifying potential perpetrators and educated about the importance of bystander intervention. Moreover, they learned effective strategies for safely removing themselves from risky situations and the essential knowledge of where to report cases of SGBV.
TIP strives to create a safer and more secure environment for all individuals by equipping the students with this invaluable knowledge. We firmly believe that education and awareness are powerful tools for eradicating SGBV and fostering a culture of respect and empathy.
At TIP, we are resolute in our commitment to championing the cause of combating SGBV. We actively engage with schools and communities to facilitate open discussions, provide access to justice, and promote a society where everyone feels safe and valued.
