TIP continues its Know your Right TimeOut Session with support from Malala Fund by conducting a session for girls at Mbieri Technical Secondary School, Imo State.
The session equipped the girls with information about sexual and gender-based violence, signs of violation, and the need to speak up. In addition, the girls asked questions on how to hide their identity and societal stigma when reporting issues of violation.
Additionally, TIP’s monthly assembly chat was held in Lagos at Mopem College, Ogudu, to educate students about sexual and gender-based violence. TIP’s program officer, Eniola Tikare, educated staff and students on recognizing, avoiding, and reporting sexual and gender-based abuse incidents.
TIP will continue to raise awareness among young girls and boys about the dangers of sexual and gender-based violence, as well as the importance of speaking up against such a societal scourge by not only avoiding such abuses but also reporting them when they occur.
