TIP’s Program Manager, Bridget Andrew, engaged the girls of Government Girls Secondary School Dakata in an interactive session on a know your right session to raise the girls’ awareness of their human rights and rights, emphasizing the right to a free and safe education and why girls should value education and complete their education.
The girls actively participated in the discussions, gaining a deeper understanding of their rights. The focus was placed on the right to free and safe education, highlighting its significance for personal growth and societal progress. The session also went through TIP’s menstrual hygiene Toolkit developed to provide information on basic hygiene management for girls. Through the session, the girls discussed the challenges faced by other girls, which often hinder their access to education.
