TIP Continues to Partner with Schools to Educate Students

TIP held a know your rights session with the girls at Comprehensive Secondary School Orji, Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo State. TIP’s team lectured the girls briefly on their human rights norms and subsequently educated them girls on Sexual and Gender-Based Violence. The session created a friendly environment for the girls to express themselves, share their views or knowledge on the topics, ask questions, and learn from each other. The girls were given the opportunity to also drop secret questions in a ballot anonymously in other to share their issues with the team and get the support that they need.

TIP, in partnership with the Malala fund, continues to support girls’ education in communities and schools in Imo State and Kano state by creating enabling environment for young girls to thrive in school and pursue their dreams.

Additionally, TIP held its monthly assembly chat in Lagos at Essy Gold College to educate students on sexual and gender-based violence in an effort to ensure that violence against women and girls is eradicated. TIP’s team, educated staff, and students on various forms of sexual and gender-based violence, the 
importance of speaking up and recognizing, avoiding, and reporting it.
TIP will continue to educate young girls and boys about the dangers of sexual and gender-based violence and the importance of speaking out against such a societal scourge by not only avoiding but also reporting such abuses when they occur.
